Alpha is birthed in prayer and backed by prayer. Form a team and ask them to pray for each guest by name, covering the sessions, your team, and the entire journey in prayer.

Alpha is 100% free, and all the resources and training are available to you now via MyAlpha – the learning centre, series videos, resources, training videos, and promotional materials. You can also promote your Alpha so that anyone searching can find a place to explore faith.

3. Build and train your team

The best preparation you can do is to train your team, especially your hosts and helpers, so they understand the heart of Alpha and how to facilitate open conversations. We’re here to help support, coach and equip your team.

4. Plan your Alpha

Take time with your team to plan each week of your Alpha journey. A well-planned session ensures your guests feel comfortable and confident in their Alpha experience.

5. Find a space

Alpha is designed to be flexible and can be run anywhere that provides a welcoming environment for people to build connections, explore faith and ask questions. You can run Alpha in a church, café, home, a pub, or even online.

6. Invite and bring

The number one reason people come to Alpha is because they were invited by someone they trust. It just starts with a simple question: “Would you like to come to Alpha with me?”

7. Be consistent!

Creating a dependable rhythm of Alphas builds trust within your community and boosts confidence in inviting others. It helps move Alpha from simply a course to a culture of welcome, community, and evangelisation.
