Alpha in a Catholic Context

For many people, Easter and Christmas are the only times they step into a church.

But these moments present an incredible opportunity. When people come at Easter, their hearts are often more open than we realise.

The question is: how do we help them take the next step? This masterclass will explore how parishes can make the most of the Easter season by intentionally inviting those who attend at Easter to continue their journey of faith. Rather than letting the moment pass, we can extend a simple and meaningful invitation to Alpha, creating a welcoming space where people can ask questions, explore life and faith, and encounter Jesus.

Together we will look at practical ways to:

  • Recognise the opportunity Easter presents
  • Considerations for Easter services to foster openness to an invitation
  • Confidently invite people who may not normally come to church
  • Connect Easter guests with Alpha

Easter doesn’t have to be the end of someone’s visit to church, it can be the beginning of a journey. This session will help you and your team turn Easter attendance into an opportunity for evangelisation and ongoing accompaniment.
